Hello Folks,

I'm new to the forum and in need of a little assistance. I have a 2001 Ram QC 5.2L 5spd. My A/C has stopped working and I'm not real sure what the problem may be. The high and low side switches seem to be ok and I'd like to check the clutch because it's not engaging. I'd like to request a wiring diagram for this system and look it over before making a lot of jumpers or check for power. Does anyone have this diagram available?

Start with the easiest jumper placement. The low pressure switch on the top of the accumulator. Short it out and see if the compressor clutch engages. If it does, you may just need a top off of freon. Like drinking a Red Bull..........lol

Many Thanks. I appreciate that document and the trouble-shooting suggestions. I'll look it over and try a few things and report back to everyone in case they have the same problem.

 

with the engine running check the connector at the clutch for power. If you have power then you have a bad clutch. very common on these trucks. Just replaced mine 165.00 later and the a/c works. foot note the clutch will not kick in with just the key on. the engine has to be running
