thats not exactly a worthy trade. if you are going for a trade to get some mileage, get a accord, civic, stratus, something like that...not a jeep. even the 6 cylinder jeeps get crappy gas mileage, in the low 20s if you are lucky. they are not made to efficient and all you will get is an underpowered brick with wheels. I would strongly recommend reconsidering. Again, look for a good fuel efficient car if you are worried about gas. you can probably get close to a brand new accord for the price of your trade in.

The Jeep 4.0 I-6 dosnt get that great gas mileage. My 01 1500 5.2 Gets better MPG than my moms 01 Wrangler with the 4.0.

I have a '95 Cherokee Sport, 4.0 Auto. 4x4. It gets around 20 on the highway and about 17 in town. Pulling the 5000 lb boat it gets 10.0.
If ya want the Cherokee, it is a worthy trade.....ya get what ya want...but do not expect some gas miser in the Jeep.

Tell you friends to get their own wheels.

Yeah, My mom's 04 Grand Cherokee gets about 15 mpg around town and 17 highway. The I-6's gas mileage sucks, and it STILL feels underpowered. And also notice that most of the people that have posted here with Grand Cherokee experience have mentioned that it belonged to their MOM! Don't see too many soccer moms drivin Rams.

yea, jeeps dont get great gas mileage at all, and they arent putting out the ponies a ram is. I would just keep it, or sell it and get something like a subaru. Great cars

Hey now moms drive perty cool cars to, my mom had the First orange mini convertible in NC, and was one of the few to even have one in the country, 6sp, supercharged, Light, It was scary fast.

Maybe try looking for an older second gen extended cab. I love my 97 extended cab and the back seat is actually not too bad for room
