Default Would 2006 Dodge Ram 20's fit on my 96 Ram 1500 ? ?

I am looking to purchase a new set of rims and I am thinking that the rims from the 06's would look good on there but i want to make sure that the rims will fit my truck, the bolt patterns are the same, i have already figured out one problem with the wheel studs being bigger then my 96(I found a nut that will fit my 1/2 stud , but set into the rim to hold it on nice and tight) I want to make sure that the hubs and axles will clear the centre of the rim without any mods being done to the rims.

I bought a set and they should be in on Tuesday. I will post all info on the fit and if any mods are needed. I am curious as to what lugnuts you found that will work. I was gonna try the lugnuts I already have to see if they work. I currently have the stock chrome steel 16" wheels on mine and hope those lugnuts work. I guess I will find out. Share all info you find. Alot of people are curious about this same thing.

yes they should fit... when i traded in my 2000 1500 sport on my 2005 1500, i didnt like the wheels the 05 had and i had the dealer swap the wheels between the two trucks both bolted on fine. i just sold my 05 too and the guy that bought it liked the look of the 2000 wheels on it.

They fit perfectly. I just got mine today and they fit like they are made for it. I have a 2000 Quad cab 4x4 and I even used the same lugnuts. Pics will be coming soon. The little center caps dont have to be taken off the front wheels like everybody sez either. No need for any spacers either. So it will be an easy swap.

They fit just fine, but you will have to remove the plastic center cap to fit them onto your '96. Since you have the serviceable hub, you will need to do that to allow the hub to stick out the center of the wheel. You will also need a 1/4" spacer behind them. Also, buying a can of "Chrome" spray paint and painting the hubs makes a noticable improvement. They do not look bad with the hub sticking out either, in fact, I wish mine were like that on all four. It gives it an old school look - like having 20" 5-spoke mags!
