S&B Intake UPDATE
Sorry for the misunterstanding. Under normal easy driving conditions you will get improved MPG. You may notice a little more low end torque also. and sound the same. However when you get on it you can deffently hear and feel the differance. I try and keep my foot out of it. But any CAI ahould improve your mpg.
I just finished up installing it about an hour ago. I have a class at 1 so as soon as it is over I will take some pics and post them. It was a very easy install. I ended up mounting my MSD box to the air box because I had to move the MSD to make the room for the air box. I can hear it at WOT just like discussed. I don't know about it flowing any better than the K&N, honestly it looks like a K&N filter to me. Oh well I guess.....I have a CAI now. Hopefully I will feel a little more after the computer has time to learn it. Anyways headers and a Fastman are next. I'll post those pics soon, I meant to take some while I was installing but both my instructors were breathing down my neck and trying to get me to hurry. They saw all the stuff I had already done and I got the "ridiculous waste of money" speech, they are starting to sound like my dad...LOL

suposedly the S&B filter has 15% more air flow than the K&N filter in the CAI

Ok I tried again here maybe it will work this time. Thanks Silver_Dodge.
Alright, glad to see it finally worked. Anyways I think the way I mounted my MSD will work out alright. The only thing I didn't like about the inkate were the crappy jamb nuts you have to install in holes that weren't tapped, I wish there was a way around that but I don't see one. I'll see how it works out. The only thing I would like to do is seal up where it sucks the air in through the fender and/or remove the plastic cover over the filter but I am kinda worried that it will defeat the purpose and let hot air into the filter. Any of you guys that already have this intake tried that?

I haven't got to test it yet. I have been in class and I need to go buy some Snuff later, so I just figured it could wait until then. On the drive back to my dorm from the Tech building I could hear it sucking air through the new filter when I got on it. I 'll let you know how it is when I get back from that little jaunt.
I used the self stick stormdoor seal you can use the foam or the rubber to fit around the fender joint. I got mine at home depot works good been on about a year. Leave the clear cover on or you will suck the hood blanket down on the Box.
Well it finally got the "butt dyno" test. I am impressed too. I can tell a difference, it still won't break the tires loose from a dead stop but it powerbrakes alot easier. I think my christmas present to myself is going to be a high flow cat unless some one else can suggest a better mod when it comes to bang for buck. Maybe roller rockers, where did everyone get theirs?
