made a switch box today
ive wanted a nice switch box to place my switches in a conveint spot and still have it look some what stock and clean.. and didnt want to drill into my dash.. i have this cupholder and i love it.. and this is what it originally looked like
then after
Obviously im gonna have to re do it witch sux.. but i had some ABS stock laying around from an earlier project.. i just cut up and slapped it on there.. my bondo/filler didnt hold up well and in the one pic you can see the horendous body work.. my garage isnt lit up very well so it was hard to see when it was in primer.. started to crack on the way home today.. kinda pissed me off.. i bought some better filler and some resin to strengthin it so im gonna refinish it and hopefully itll turn out better.. anyways.. started out good..just wished the finishing would taken better.. i also didnt prep sand the plastic to take the filler.. i should used a 120 grit so the filler at something to bite to since the plastic is a smooth shiney surface.. lessons learned.. lol
also made a killer spot to mount my new sat radio
