RE: Control Arms Inter-changeable?
that was wierd.. you and i posted at the same time.. i was asking the fella that started the thread lol. anyway.. the offroad rams have the same length control arms as the regular 4X4's do.. i think TGC and DT profab make control arm replacements for the stock location and are 1/2" added in length to help combat axle-pull-back.. either way.. adjustables with heims would be better.. you can dial on your caster and center your axle where you want it.. given you have enough room in the adjusters to do so.. you could go long arm kit but with only 3 inch lift ,, you might bind since the travel is much more limited and less then a larger 6 inch type lift.. you could fab up yourself a set of "long arms" and have them just a bit longer then the stockers.. LA can give you a better ride because instead of hitting a bump and the force traveling aft through the stock control arms and into the frame and THEN letting the axle go up in suspension .. the LA's allow the axle to flex first.. kinda like a leverage thing if you think about it.. its a give and take with after market control arms..

hmm.. yea i looked at a set of adjustables off TGC but they were 389 bucks! i dont plan on going any bigger then a 3 inch suspension and 3 inch body.. also my tires are out of alignment right now. they are leaning outward so maybe if i get my front end re-aligned it'll help pull the axle back forward maybe?? i wonder why the offroad rams have the same length control arms with a factory 2 inch lift.. i guess 2 inches doesnt make that much of a diffrence at all in throwing your axle off center

yea.. the 2" springs are the "max" before the axle starts to come back.. i added my 2 " TGC spacers and yanked my axle back something feirce.. lol.. ya the TGC and DT arms are friggen expensive..thast why i siad fabbin up yourself a set willl prolly cost you less if you ahve the tools to do it (welder )
when you get the alighnment done ask them to max out the caster.. maybe adjusting the adjuster-lobes on the stock control arms might send it forward a smidge and save ya a little.. not sure if it will work b/c the lower CA might keep it in place and just tilt the axle.. ( i think its the upper that has the lobe.. trying to picture it now ) couldnt hurt to try
i might try..i just thought of it

r u looking for added length to correct an axle-pull-back? or just stronger/beefier

I do not have a lift and do not intend to ever lift my truck.
Do they make aftermarket arms that take place of the stock arms with bushings installed?
I have access to a shop... so i was thinking of buying a set of used arms welding plates on the bottom of them and swapping the bushings out. I want to have them ready so i can spend one day swapping them out. This is my daily driver...
