Ok so after searching around, i have decided that what i would really like wuld be blower with a scoop that sticks up out of the hood. However, in my feeble internet skills, I have no idea if anyone even makes one for my 5.9. Anyone know smoething about this? I just like the looks aof a blower as to a supercharger...ya know...the classic mopar muscle look. thanks for any input you guys have.

What you're looking for is a roots type blower. There are NO bolt on kits for roots style blowers for the Magnum 5.9 however. Only bolt on centrifugal superchargers like the Procharger or Powerdyne.

 

turbo's and blower's are superchargers. There are several types of blowers though. centrifugal blowers look like turbos, but run off belts. Whipple blowers are what the big drag cars usually run.

Turbochargers are a form of forced induction that run off of exhaust gases.

What we commonly thing of as "superchargers" are strictly belt driven.

They are less efficient as they rob power from the motor to make power. Turbochargers use waste (exhaust) from the motor to help make more power. They each have their pros and cons.
