RE: Coolant leak
yeah i had a coolant problem a ways back my truck starting to make a squeeling noise and the when i get it home to check it explodes at the end of the drive way. THe bearing in the waterpump went and it blew the waterpump seal. WHat a mess took me all weekend to fixed new waterpump seal and hoses one of which doesn't have a thread its about halfinch on the left side and the wrong part came with the pump so i used the old one and glued it in good.

Thanx for the tips guys after thinking about it I do think that could be it. In the pic the red arrow is pointing to where it is pooling up at and the green arrow is where I think it is running down to where I start to see it....Ill let you guys know how it goes if I tear into it this weekend.
*edit* man I have good paint skills!!

RE: Coolant leak
I dont think its the bypass hose anymore. I got the alt, ac compressor, belt and acc plate off and I pulled the old bypass hose off and it didnt look like it had any leak or anything I figured well I already have the hose so I switched that. I got a new 180 t-stat so I take the hose and metal peice that holds the t-stat in place and OMG WAS THAT GASKET GOOONE!! The thermostat is completely packed full of rust colored gunk on the top and the gasket had rust and junk on the outside of it.....I think some idiot put tap water in it![:@] I am going to get a good coolant flush really soon!! Ill let you guys know if it took care of the problem.
