Default electric fan question

I'm getting ready to buy two electric fans either twin 14's or 16's. 14's pull 2000 cfm & 10 amps a piece, and the 16's pull 2700 & 20 amps a piece. Will the 14's be able to cool the 360 enough? Or shourld i run a 16 as the primary and the 14 as backup? Or run the 16's together? I really don't want to wire both to come on together, if i don't have to. I've got a flex a lite thermostat so one will come on at 180ish, and the other i'm thinking about wiring a switch into the cab so I can control the second one. I just don't want to have to run both of them all the time. I live in MI so winters can be cold and summers sometimes get to the upper 90's. I work construction so i'm not stuck in stop and go traffic and overheating. Any help or suggestions is what I'm looking for. What does everyone else do for their setup?

No I'm looking at buying procomp fans. i'm worried about having to run two because of the engine overheating.
I don't think it would but I just want to be sure.

I'm thinking about installing electric fan on mine. I would think a 16in fan would pull enough air. also how are you going to mount two 16s unless one is a pusher and one a puller. If you want two fans I would go with the twin setup that wll fit. I havn't finished researching it yet, like you trying to get more info.

I am also looking at those fans... for me however they only come in a PULLER version, it would be nice to have a pusher setup (for me anyway).

I would think you should be ok, with the 16 & 14... but for the $ difference between them, get 2 16's and not worry about it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if remember right to make it a puller all you have to do is reverse the polarity. I know all the DC powerd motors I have ever toyed with I could reverse the polarity and change the direction of spin. It should be that hard to do.

you can if it's setup to do it that way, however the mounting setup could be an issue... if you cant reverse the mounting of the fan then it does no good to reverse the leads.

What model Flex-A-Lites do you have? I have been thinking about replacing my stocker, but I want to do it right. I don't like fabricating things!

Reverseing the polarity will spin the blades in the other direction, but you wont get the air flow you want. the pitch of the blade will not let it move air well in both directions.
