Lift Kit help
Hey guys,
I was hoping that you could give me some advice on a lift kit. I've been kinda bumed out by my truck lately then i saw that "fabtech" offers a lift kit for a 2wd. I know that lifting a 2wd doesn't really give it any more practicalicaly but i like the look and the stance of my truck sucks with club cab and long bed it's just not right, anyways there are 2 kits a 3inch and a 61/2 inch one, of course i'd like the 61/2 but 3 would be good too. I would not want to chance the tire combo that i have which are the aluminum dodge and bridgestone. just wondering if i could still use stock wheel and tires and if not are there other kits? links? and they dont seem to tell u how much they cost. thanks a bunch!! oh tire size is 16" Bridgstone Duravis LT245/75R16

I know exactly what you are saying about wanting a little bit taller truck. I lifted mine with the fabtech 3" spindle lift and I have 295/75/16 nitto terrs grapplers under mine. There is no rubbing and I have stock wheels. Here is a pic of it:

3 inch rough country lift for a 2wd dodge.. says its a "budget lift".. comes with 2 3 inch coils.. 1 inch blocks for the back(level it off) and new shocks for 229 bucks.. very good deal in my eyes

Don't stack blocks in the rear for the lift. Since you have a 2wd I'd go with a leaf pack from a 4x4 truck (I think they're taller), you might be able to find used ones like out of an offroad package or something that was hit in the front in a junkyard for a few bucks and labor to remove. If not, the extra cash for a spring lift in the rear is worth the $ in my book.
so a 3" lift would bring my truck up to where the 4x4 are? cause thats about where i want mine just right ya know, so is it possible to get the springs and leafs from a 4x4 ram and just transfer them or will that not work.
