Who has HID LIGHTS?
Thinking about purchasing some of those CoolBlue HID bulbs.
Did the online fitment test and they Fit 1998 Dodge Ram Pickups (basically 94-01)
9004CB Cool Blue Halogen (model number)
What I want to know or if possible SEE is anyone with a 94-01 Dodge Ram Pickup with HIDs installed, and where they hid the Balasts and the relay..
PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!

i also hated them. only lasted about 2.5 months before they both burnt out at the same time. oh, and low beams were totally useless at night. high beams ALL THE TIME
those "HID" bulbs are just posuers, just blue tinted glass with maybe some xenon thrown in ...... not real HID. They actually put out less light than your stock halogen. There ARE HID conversion kits out there, but unless the lens on your vehicle has been specifically designed for true HID you're 100% illegal. Best is to get a "plus" type (GE Nighthawk is one example) bulb, install a relay and heavier wiring (available as a kit for @ $70). The plus bulbs put out more, better and whiter light than stock and ARE legal. Just keep in mind they won't last as long. I do a lot of night driving here in WV, am going to be making this upgrade very soon with a "plus50".

I have Silverstars with the upgraded wiring. they are incredibly bright. I also have Silverstars in my factory fog's and my two sets of Hella 500's. i miss nothing on the road. My local cops hate me but there is nothing they can do. They are totally legal. The only thing that you will run into is that the light is so white you really don't notice they are on till you realize you can see road signs a long way away.
