Default Where did you mount you gauges??

I've got a 98, and I'm kinda curious as to where you guy's mounted your gauges. I'm familiar with the pillar, but I was trying to stay away from there and go with something different.

Any ideas / suggestions??

I love the monting piece that Silver_Dodge has. Whenever the need for a new gauge arrises for me that is what I will be using, then maybe a pillar pod.

I don't have a need for gauges but if I did, i'd relocate my factory tweeter and place one in my pillar.

3gauge A pillar and column pod plus monster tach on the dash
Thinking of also adding a couple more to either my overhead console or making a center console between my racebuckets.
If you had your stereo mounted elsewhere could use that location to add gauges. If seen guys modify the cup holder on the early genIIs as well to hold gauges.

There are pillar pods with the tweeter speaker location included in them. I bought the 3 gauge pod with the tweeter hole just to the left and above the lowest gauge. I don't have the tweeter, but I thought it would be a great place for either a couple switches of a low oil pressure light. Included wiring to hook up some stuff when I put it all together, but right now I found a cap that covers the hols prefectly until I decide if and what I will do with that spare location. A friend of mine mounted a low fuel pressure light for his diesel there.

I don't know about you guys but I originally had 2 gauges on my A post. All it did was obstruct even more of my view...lol. That A post is a monster. I have not seen people who were crossing in front of me before. Hiding in the post's "blind spot".

You know me Mayfair......... dash mount is my style...lol.

Yeah, I saw that set up and it looks cool, but I have my air horn switch mounted up there. Besides that, I was thinking of getting more than 1 gauge.

Demon, your setup ROCKS, but I was thinking of maybe keeping it a little less obstructive. I like your bracket though. Where did you get it? I was thinking of either mounting gauges next to the shifter boot on the floor, or above the cup holder since I always have it down anyway.

Also ...

What gauges do you guy's reccomend? I was thinking of at least Fuel Pressure. What else do you guy's reccomend?
