well this is the deal i have a 94 ram 1500 with a 4inch pro comp lift,3inch body lift.i went to 4x4 shop to see if i could change out my 4inch for a 6inch lift they told me no as it is illegal to do so . as i have body and suspenion lift. so my question is could i talk out the front springs and replace them with new 3inch lift springs? (skylackers) .if so what other work is invalved ? also the rear new leaf springs. let me know thanks .

I'm with muddy on this one...???...I've never heard of this before.

 

Must be something that the shop can't work on. Like they won't touch body lifted trucks or something. What state are you in? We can check the lift laws but that sounds crazy, I'd get the 6 inch and just do it yourself.

most suspension lift dealer will not even sell a lift if they know your truck has a body lift.
I know when I priced my 3 and 5" kit out Rocky mountain, 4 wheel parts and some one else asked if I had a body lift.
Most of them post it on their website.
the companies dont want the two associated with each other.

But they arent illegal in any state that I know of

 

washington, i think was a shop thing but they told me they couldn't do it.anyhow is it possable to leave my 4inch lift and add bigger springs such as 3 inch taller and still use the same set up now. well other than new shocks,
