Default Ram won't start?!?!HELP!

I just went to leave and it won't start? It actually starts for 1 second then dies. If I start it and give it gas, it will run- but I have to constantly hold the peddle down...Any ideas? It has been running fine. Am I looking at getting a new Throttle position sensor? Is there anything i could clean that might be gummed up? The K&N was cleanes 2 days ago, and I also put new wires on 2 days ago. Thanks!

Sounds like the IAC is dirty if you can give it gas and it runs fine. If its running bad even when you give it gas it could be the wires you just changed. Take the TB off and clean it and the IAC really well, that should hopefully solve the problem.

The TB is held on my 4 bolts, take them off and pop the linkage off. Then unplug the 3 sensors. The one of the back is the IAC, take all 3 out and hose the TB down. Get in the IAC hole REALLY good. Then spray some carb cleaner on a rag and wipe the IAC down really good. Hope it works

It would not start again this morning? I started it, held my foot lightly on the gas to keep her from stalling for about 3 minutes. Once it warmed up a bit, I was able to let go and she idles normally. I have started it several times this morning with a warm engine with no problem. It is just when it is cold. I will do the plugs this weekend, I hope that helps- I know they are a litlle toasty...Any other suggestions? I reoiled my K&N the other day, could some of the oil leaked into the intake cause this? Thanks!

Did you actually take the TB off and clean it or just spray some cleaner into it? The IAC plunger itself gets gunked up so just straying some at it might not do the trick, best to take it all off. 10 minute job

if the cleaning doesnt work, your IAC is probably sticking or on it's way out.

How much oil did you put on your K&N when you cleaned it? If it is a drop-in filter and you had it dripping with filter oil, it may be sucking oil from the filter into the IAC hole and clogging it. I would say take the tb off and clean it good, and blow any excess oil off of the filter. The K&N needs to be completely covered with oil, but you can overdo it....
