I was wondering if i bought one of those crome gas doors how hard is it to put it on, i think it would look better since mine is scratched beyond repair. thanks
Depends on what you buy, some are the whole assembly and some are stuck on by adheasive. I made mine out of aluminum with the dodge logo and stuck it on using 3M adheseive.
very nice, also i've been looking on ebay thats where i got the idea for the gas door and there seem to be alot of these http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...6161456&rd=1,1 on there ranging in price these seem to be more expensive and i was wondering if anybody has done it, are they worth and what they look like thanks
It's uber easy. All you need is some simple tools: A 3/8 ratchet, a 4mm allen wrench, and a T30 torx bit. Took me five minutes to install the cover shown in the howto below.
The price varies, up to around $100 w/o shipping. I had been on the lookout for that part number (82207715), and was able to pick up a new one on E-bay for $69 shipped. Not sure how it does off-road since I have a street queen, but it's spring loaded, like stock, and snaps shut tightly.
