I do have a bit more intake noise, and at somewhere between 1750 and 2250 RPM I have a sucking noise, but I don't mind it all that much.

I get that too, but it is only bad when my TB is dirty. Clean it up, and I think you will find it to be not as bad.
I just got used to it too.

I was being lazy and struggling to find a full list of what you need to do this switch to round air filter, which looks really nice by the way.

One question though, anyone go an idea on how it affects gas mileage. If I was aiming for better mileage which would ya'll suggest the FIPK or the round air filter?

To me, I've felt no increase/loss with either the FIPK or this setup.

Anyone else got input on the MPG situation.

Also, still curious about the list...

Here is the list I did:

Here is the info on my stuff: Spectre push-in breather filter, Part# 42859 from AutoZone $12.99. Mr Gasket air cleaner, Part# 1480 from Advance Auto - Price match from Summit - $23.99. K&N air filter, Part# E-1650 from AutoZone - $41.99. This one is 14" round and 3" tall. Here are the pics - I included a pic of my "S" bolt I made with 2 tape measures so you can work with that.....

And - Thanks guys for the input on the noise. I was hoping it was just normal since the thing is "opened up" now and you can hear it better. I haven't had any problems with the setup and my Fastman tb is clean as a whistle - so I guess I'm good. No increase in mpg - with all my mods I still get 12.5 mpg +-.3 or so.

Great thread, been keeping up with it. Was waiting for the weather to get warmer to see how it has been performing and it looks like people havent had any issues of yet from it.
Will be doing it myself this weekend.

TB is throttle body. I saw a 2 mpg increase when I did my fastman TB. Helps if you have some sort of air intake too, anything better then the stock air assembly.

Iseem to be getting better milage so far and better response mid-high rpm.. I did this a couple weeks ago, but i'll post my 1st tank ( kept forgetting to do it ) mpg in a day or sowhen i fill up. Before this i would average 11.5mpg to 12.5mpg depending on city/hwy driving.
