ORIGINAL: lastrights

what in the hell is that white filter on the right
There is a formal name for it...I want to say PCV breather or PVC....someone out there will correct me.

Anyway it is breather for my oil... the stock one ran off the stock air box.

I think its PCV = Positive Crankcase Ventilation

Technically you have changed it to passive with the mod since the stock air box is no long pulling gases out of there, but PCV still work.

Ok so here's mine, did it yesterday but question... I pulled the breather hose from the pass side and inserted the little white breather. Is this correct?? I left the PCV hose etc. all in tact on the Driver's side.

Just wanted to make sure I didn't do something wrong...

Just saw this thread for the first time, read the whole thing, now I suddenly feel like my factory 5.9 needs upgrading..lol. Was already planninga cat back over the 4th weekend, but now it looks like an air cleaner too. Haven't heard anything on the fastman, but suppose I'll start researching that now...
