Default Night at the track : TIMES

I got the ***** in me finally to take my indy to the track. it was 39 degrees out at atco tonight, which ment good pull from the motor, but traction was non existant. as a matter of fact, traction was so bad they canceled the gamblers race, so it was all test and tune. I only got two passes in. The first one was 1/2 decent, but being the first time with a used vehicle, i took it kinda easy. Rolling into the throttle very easily as not to bust a u joint or axle (taking it easy just till i find the limit or a safe spot i feel comfortable in going) i got a short time of 2.2 (very awesome, especially for rolling on it, i think i could see 1's with drag radials). After the 60 i went wot, and broke loose the tires and my times went to **** after that.

60---2.283
330--6.601
1/8--10.222@67.71
1000--13.366
1/4--16.068@82.74

we wont talk about reaction time ( i was sooo asleep) ill just say, if they were usin a .5 light, i would have been right on the money lol.

the second run was worthless. i spun at the tree and just burnt out, shifted into second and then hesitated on gettin back into first.

60-3.087
330--7.567
1/8--11.232@66.96
1000--14.403
1/4--17.1117@82.89

mph was up slightly, but nothing to brag about.

that looks like its it for this seasons racing, the track closes on the 4th, and i doubt ill be back before then.

im just satisfied knowing that with optimal conditions, my truck will hit 15s.

This is an excellent start! Some day I'll take my truck down to the track to see what it runs, I would guess 17-18 in the 1/4. My mustang is more fun to race. Drag racing in my area is all done for the season, but during the summer they do "Friday Night Drags". $25 bucks and you get to do a lot of racing heads up on a pro street tree.

Nice!
Sounds like a 15 second truck. Just need to get a few more runs in. Drag radials should help a lot too. What mods do you have?

I'm in South Florida, and hoping to get to the track after I get some things done to my truck. Beautiful weather here, now.
