I have 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.9L
Only got 56000miles

Check engine light came on - the code was OD Solenoid / TCC
Took the truck to a transmission place, they replaced the solenoid switches.
One month later, Check engine light came back on with the same code.

Any suggestion?

 

I recently had the same problem, though I was throwing a P0740 Code. The tranny mech. changed out the solenoids but that was the least of my problems. I just didn't know it. My TC was just beginning to wear as well. Even with the new solenoids, (which did need replaced) enough metal got into the new switches to short them and throw lights as well ( not to mention the TC itself being shot.) Also lost my OD planetary gears. That was a few weeks ago. I should be good for another 36000 miles with my completely rebuilt tranny!

 

I would check your grounds. What gave you an indication there was problem to begin with, just the CEL? What about the actual tc lockup and such?

Just the CEL came on. Truck is running fine. The transmission place said nothing looks wrong with it. Replaced the switches the 2nd time for free.

Can it be just a bogus code?

 

I doubt it. Again, I would make sure the ground connections are good. Dodge has sh!tty grounds that get worse with time.
