Haha, im gonna be using my Khumo extasa (or whatever its called) with 3/32s tread left, and one wheel wonder. Lets see how far I get when it snows. Ill be happy to make it out the driveway.

 

I havent found a good Cooper yet, they wear quick and traction is only good for about the first 10,000 mile.

 

My Timberline MT's are doin ok I liked my Maxxis Buckshot Mudders better though . I haven't got very good wear out of either , but I think I have alignement issues.

 

I also have the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's, and I like them in the rain and the snow/ice. They are not real good in mud though. For someone like me who rarely gets in the mud however and does a lot of highway driving, I can't complain. I have about 40k miles on them now and we just had a bad ice/snow storm and I'm gettin around great. (4x4 with about 400 lbs of tools and crap in my toolbox.) They have "cupped" a little bit on the edges of the tires, but I think I'll get another 10k miles out of them before I get new ones.

 

Cooper M/S LT285x75R16 Load Range E. These studded snows are the very best tire available. Sticky rubber, siped like crazy, tall and narrow. Just right for the ice. I live in Bethel Alaska, about 90 miles from the Bering Sea.

 

Mickey Thompson Baja Radial MTX, Excellent tire. Very good against hydroplaning, Do well on the beach, Ran easily in 10 inches of snow, Good in the holes I've run through, haven't been through major muck with them.

I am running with TOYO OBSERVE . I have no weight in the back yet, but I might consider it depending how she goes. I ran them through about 5 inches of snow with no problems, she seemed to hold well. We will see when the temp drops, and we get some real snow coverage just how they do- but I heard good things about them...

 

Going through snow is easy, its when theres no snow/very little on the ground and all the ice is exposed

 

I'm running Toyo Open Country A/T's and have been very happy with them. They have over 40K miles on them now and still have plenty of tread left. We had a 12" snowfall a couple weeks ago and the traction was still great even without any extra weight in the box.

I got lucky when I bought these at cost ($400 set) from a local car dealer who is now out of business. I would like to get another set when the time comes, but the best price I've found is $200 each! I'll probably have to shop around for a more reasonably priced tire!
