I don't have any issues with stopping but it is rare that I have to stomp on the breaks. Something that is going through my mind is the other symptom that I have on occasion. Sometimes, it seems that I am loosing the power assit when I abruptly stop at a light or something. It is a very rare thing for me but my wife constantly gives me grief over it. If there is an ABS issue, and there is infact ABS in the rear wheels, that may be what is happening.
When the RWAL kicks in, you're only on the front brakes for a few seconds ... it would feel like a loss of power assist.

Pump 'em.

hey all im new to this forum, but i have a question.
last week my abs/brake lights started comming on, but only when i reach 45mph on the dot. i work at a garage so today i swapped out the RWAL sensor, thoughtthat fixed it cause had no lights on the ride home. but when i went back out tonight, they came on again. if its not that sensor, what would it be?

i have no issues with my speedo, but i noticed tonight my cruise didnt work.

and if needed its a 95 ram1500 club-cab, 4x4 w/5.9

my 98 dodge dash lights are on two, and i have a spedo problem two, but i think my spedo problem is due to the 35in tires that i have on there with the stock 355 gears. i have never noticed the spedo just jump up there it seems to work fine but it is about 7mph to 10 mph off.

so do you think that it is still that sensor? (with out searching first cause i am STUPID i posted the other day on what i was having wrong) and the guy posted back saying that i should get the code off of it.(wouldn't the ce light have to be on to do that and it is not) then he said i should get my pinion factor set for my tires? he lost me on that one but any help please i am tired on looking at those two lights

If you have cruise control issues, check if your brake lights stays on at times even when brake pedal is not pressed, if it does it may be your brake light switch located near your brake pedal. a haynes manual will help you to troubleshoot this issue.

hope this helps

weird that so many people have been running into this problem. I to have had my abs and brake light turn on but it only does it once i hit about 60MPH and two miles after i go that fast they turn on. Short drives or not as fast driving the lights stay off. I put a new sensor but lights stay on im not sure if i need to go to my buddys shop and have him clear the code for me and go from there.

the abs light and brake light on only means that there is a faulty abs sensor. when my speed sensor went, my speedo didn't work along with the lights coming on.

Hey sinister. I was wondering about the update on your truck. My abs and brake light just started coming on on saturday also. Did you switch out the sensor?
no, never did end up switching it out, and I've been lucky that it hasn't happened again.

Hey guys, I just picked up a new rear diff sensor from RockAuto.com. It was only 29 bux so a little better than the dealers 45 and it wont hurt your wallet to give it a shot. Both of my lights have been coming onsince the day I bought thetruck and I haven't worried about it till now. They usually pop on around sixty or so and I don't have any speed/odometer problems.

Will do buddy, I'm sure thats not the only code that'll have to clear. As of this morning I have four! But I didn't think the sensor would trip a code?
