96 1500 no start, no fuel, no spark, no check engine light bulb test
I'm working on a 96 1500 that was brought to me because of a battery draining issue. I charged the battery and tried to start it to move it so I could begin to diagnos the drain and it wouldn't start. It was drove to my house the night before. It has since held a charge and cranks over fine, just won't start. It doesn't have spark or fuel.
I checked and swapped both fuel and asd relays and they are fine. I can jump power to fuel pump at the relay and get the pump to run. It gets power to both relays in constant 12 volt and key on hot terminals it just seems as though the computer isn't completing the circut. I have checked all fuses and they seem good.
anybody have any ideas where to look next?
Tomorrow I'm gonna double check everything. It seems to me that it should be a fuse or relay, but I can't find anything wrong. Are their fuseable links anywhere that would control these? I didn't see any.
I just found out I don't have a check engine light when key is on..........maybe pcm? fuse is good, and has power. Anyone have pinouts for this computer so I can see if it has juice? its a 4x4 5 speed with the 5.2 if that maters.

welcome to DF... sounds like a blown pcm. since it's a '95 and obd I an obd II scanner wont help.
turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump, should turn on for 2 sec then off. if your CE light does not come on, your next best bet would be the pcm.

fuel pump does not come on when key on, I have power to the relay at the terminals both 12 volt constant and 12 volt key on hot. I can jump power from #30 to #87 relay terminals and get the fuel pump to run. and I have swithched relays with a known good one for both fuel and asd relays and still no luck.
My main question is does anyone have a computer wiring diagram for the pin outs so I can test at the computer to make sure its getting juice?
and one more question, are these trucks known for frying pcm's? I'm new to working on mopars.
Where is a good place to get a pcm for it, I looked on ebay and local junk yard doesn't have one.
thanks for the reply's

I'm going to move this thread over to the 2nd gen forum, maybe someone there has the wiring diagrams you seek. there is a link to the service manual but it's for a 2001 which is the obd II and wont work for you.
I have since foud out this truck is a 96 not a 95........door post says 95...but buddy just told me it is a salvage title 96 with a 95 cab on it.
Upon learning this I looked under the dash and there was an obd2 aldl, so I hooked up my obd2 code reader and it just flashes FAIL.
I went to the local Dodge stealership to see if they could print me out the pin-outs for the pcm or some other useful wiring diagrams...........and all they said was to bring the truck in and they'll hook it up to their computer for $60 and "GO FROM THERE". What a bunch of *** hats. They were not willing to help in any way shape of form, now I didn't go in there demanding anything, I was politely talking about my problem and asking questions and I even told them I used to be an ASE certified mechanic.
Sorry for the rant,
Anyway does anyone have any obd2 pcm wiring diagrams or pin-outs? Its looking more and more like it is a fried pcm but I would like to at least be able to confirm that the pcm is getting power in all the right places before I try to find another pcm.
Thanks for your help

since it is obdII, go to the top of the forum and look at the dodge info thread... in there is a reference to the merry christmas thread which has a link to download the service manual. it is for a 2001 and may help. I dont know of any manuals for the 96... sorry.
