Show Me Your Flares
My province has rules about how far past the body work your wheels can stick. I just put a set of 33x12.5s on 16x10 inch rims. They look great but stick out too far to be leagle. I want to see clear side and frontal view pics of anyone running aftermarket fender flares. My truck is a pavement princess so I'm not worried about bashing bushcrackers against trees. If they look good and cover the tires, I'm happy. Post away and thanks.
moocs: I have the same problem here in WV USA. I don't plan on putting flares on my truck, just don't like the look. I switch to a set of cheap small tires/wheels at inspection time then switch them back out. My tires tread are sticky out not quite 1" so don't get hassled ........... yet.
I did do some shopping around when I first got the truck but never found any I liked that 1. Fit well and 2. didn't scream "LOOK AT THE FLARES ON MY TRUCK" lol. I was in Ohio one weekend this past summer and came across a 2ndGen Ram that had a real nice looking set, the guy said they were "Xenon". Designed as if they actually belonged on the truck, not bad actually. If I start running into problems with the law I'll buy this set myself.
sharx: Been an admirer of your Ram, slicker 'n snot on a doorknob! I'm not a big fan of the 3rdGen but yours is sweet, I think it's the color ..... makes the 3rdGen truck look it's best IMO. Why'd you decide to go with flares? (your sig pic doesn't have them) Too bad they don't make those for 2ndGen cuz I bet they would look as good if not better than the Xenons.

I like how it looks without them too, but the problem is once you've been flagged for a VI in BC you're more likely to get hasled in the future and I think you have to report it when selling the truck which could scare people away.

I went to a 13.50 tire and it made a mess of my truck, and I was hoping with the tires tucked under the truck more the cops would leave me alone about the mud flaps. No such luck, now I have the flares and the damned mud flaps hehehe
I don't know if you've checked out everything from Bushwacker already. They make nice flares that can be painted to match your truck. Personally I'm a fan of the "OE" style. I've seen them on other trucks of our vintage and when they're painted to match, they seem to blend in with the existing body lines the best. They provide 1 3/4" of extra coverage. http://www.bushwacker.com/fender.asp...;search=Search
