It really depends on what you primarily use the truck for. One of my trucks sees only street driving so I went with the Monroe SensaTrak's. I paid $120 for the set (buy 3 get 1 free) and for on-road driving they are a really nice riding shock especially considering the price. The ride quality is excellent.

If you're off-roading then I would definately go with another shock.

I also found a slight half inch lift at the front
when Edelbrock IAS shocks
were installed on my 2wd Ram.

It would be a really worthwhile thing
if a bunch of Ram owners would get together
for a test of different shocks on exactly the same Ram
over exactly the same test track.

Same thing would be true for a test of different tires.

I've got the SkyJacker hydro 7000's on my truck and I love them. Nice ride and good control off road.

Hey 2001 mustang gt- SHOCKS DO NOT CHANGE RIDE HEIGHT!!!! unless they are a coil over or air shocks. Even still you won't pick up 3 inches
