Superchips or hypertech?

Huh go figure, is that hurting my truck by any chance? It looks just like its plugged into the PCM I don't know where the cables lead to

As for the cables the chip is just in-line where the cable goes. You unplug the cables from the chip, unplug the chip from the PCM and then plug the cables backinto the PCM in the spot where the chip was.
I would disconnect the battery while doing it and reset the PCM while the battery is disconnected.
EDIT: It not recommended to use the jet chip and a programmer at the same time, so you'll want totake the jet chip out before using your hypertech again.
Hello Erik
With my Hypertrch III, you can,t change the shift points on a Dodge.
But you can on Chevy and Ford. I assume because of the Dodge TCM.
You can change the rev limit and top speed.
My truck as I said earlier does not ping, but many say theirs do. I haven't changed my thermostat to a cooler one, but I don't know what it has in it, as I haven't looked yet. Way to cold here right now.
It took ten minutes or so to program mine.
It allows me to set my truck to stock configuration, optimize for 87 octane, or optimize for 90 octane.
It also allows me to set speedo for tire size and to read codes.

I can't change shift points with my superchips either. That I know you can't on sec gen dodges. To switch back and forth you have to program each time (5-10 minutes).
