Well, All I know is that I'm never making a sharp turn when in 4 wheel drive again.... Last time I did that, I broke my power steering pump... It was a lock to lock turn on snow in 4 wheel drive. It may have just been the pump's time, but I doubt it since the truck only has 64k miles on it. But whatever..

 

Musta been a freak accident.

Also I wouldn't call breaking a shaft or u-joint serious damage. Its like a 30min fix, but I get what your saying.

 

damn.. no 4x4 in reverse? that sux. what happens when i get stuck.. and theres a tree in front of me?

 

You better hope you have 4wd in reverse if you're out wheeling and get in tothe mud a bit too far.

 

That's just damn stupid...I don't know anyone who hasn't used 4 wheel in reverse. Do you really think you are only supposed to get out of something going forward???? WTF do you think people do in the snow, ice andmud?Go into 2 wheel to back up? Come on now...
