Headlight went out, any suggestions?
Last night I was following some friends and when we got to where we were going they told me my left headlight was out. I drove with it out home but when I got home I got out and tapped the cover about 4 times and it came back on. Any thing I need to know when trying to take off the cover? I have the 01 manual from the x-mas thread to go by but wondering if there was anything else. Could there be something wrong with the wiring itself? If theres something wrong with the bulb, is there a certain type I should buy to replace them?
i had the same problem with mine, it was just the light itself, you dont need to take the cover off, just pop the hood, and pull the light out the back, go to any automotive store and tell them you need to replace your headlight bulb and they'll be able to give you the one you need
its either 9004 or 9007 I forget which, replacing bulbs are quite easy, and like rs98 said, just pop the hood and pull the light out, if you have a grey clip that locks onto the bulb keeping it in place, it turns counterclockwise to unlock it.
Just as a suggestion...when I have a headlight or tail light go on me I usually will replace both and keep the one that was still working stashed in the glove box or under the rear seat. When one goes...the other has the same amount of hours on it and isn't very far behind.

I was looking at it today, do I have to take the battery out to get to the driver side light bulb? Doesn't seem like there is room there.
