I am tring to install some amps under my rear seat and the jack bracket is in my way. Can this bracket be unbolted somehow from the floor and removed? I tried looking in the factory service book but I couldnt locate any information.

 

On my 96 I removed the jack and bracket from under the passenger seat so I could mount my msd digital 6 ignition.
There was a flap of carpet that I just pulled back on the one side for 1 bolt and the other two I believe were exposed with the jack removed if I remember correct.

 

Yup... A couple of bolts and its gone.

 

I didn't see any bolts but I might have to cut the carpet flap back a little to expose them. I will check today - Thanks!
