Can someone post a pic of what a posi unit for a 9.25" looks like.
Do they look like an open, but with clutches on the outside of the spider gears?
Thanks
Matt

TMS Bill
Thank you very much. I do have a posi in my parts truck.
Next question, parts truck is a 95 1/2 ton w/ 3.92 gears and a posi. my truck is a 2001 1/2 ton. 3.55 open. Will both axles swap out with no modifications? ie will the fronts and rears swap out and everything just line up and fall together?
both trucks 4x4. both trucks had 360's w/ autos.
build sheets from Dodge say
"Dana M44/216MM Front Axle" for the 2001
and
"Dana M44/216MM Front Axle" for the 1995 parts truck
looks to me like a direct swap. am i missing something?

Yes sir the axles are a direct fit. Are you going to just swap the axles out of the parts truck andinto your 01? That would be MUCH more cost effective than pulling the posi and gears out of the parts truck and transfering them over. You would still have 2 complete sets of axles as well.

yep, i purchased the truck for the suspension lift and rims/tires.
finding a posi is just an added bonus.
I will be swapping out everything, axles and suspension/springs/shocks etc.
i assume the ABS connectors will be the same? or swappable and the vacuum actuators for the 4wd should swap. (po took it out of parts truck)
brakes?

i honestly dont know. the speedo was gone when i got it, along with just about everything else.
The title reads85000 actual as of 09/21/1999
and the PO said it was sitting for 1 year.
all i have left are the axles suspension and the cab.
the cab is a rust free standard cab from arizona. couple of small dents but absolutely no rust.
