SummitRacing.com, Jegs.com, Quadratec.com, 4wheelparts.com, Alloutoffroad.com;I installed an electric fan in my 97 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4.0 and it helped out alot. I just recently bought a 1998 Ram 1500 Sport 4X4 and is looking to do the same thing. These websites should help.

For fitment/proper size I contacted Flex a Lite on their tech support line. The tech answered all my questions and I ended up getting all the right stuff the first try, worked perfect too. Good luck, and pls post what you end up using.

go to the junk yard and get the e-fans from a 99 or newer ford windstar..i paid 13 bucks for mine and they work just as well as the ones from summit, jegs and othe vendors for a lot cheaper...if you want pictures and what not, let me know and ill get you some before you decide to shell out big bucks for the big name fans

When considering an electric fan mod
check out your alternator capacity

Ram1500Dodge, I am looking at using the Winstar e-fans in my 1500. What thermostat module did you use? Do you have any pics/details you can send?

Thanks,
Tim

go to a jeep dealer and ask to buy a f25 recall fan its the fan for the new 4.0 and 4.7 in the grand cheeroke they can be made to fit as a pusher and move more air than you would ever need and they cost less than 50 bux

I retro fitted a Flex-a-Lite Monster fan onto my ram and it's a beast. Way more than enough cooling power. I designed my own custom brackets as well as a way to mount a coolant catch can and wind sheild fluid can. People are always shocked to see how much room there is between the engine and the fan. I can stand in there to work on my truck.

If there would be some interest in the brackets I would consider making a batch. They're designed on CAD and made out of Aluminum. I will get some pics if someone PMs me.

Sounds like a fairly decent deal. Has anyone seen gains? I know there will be, but how about mpg?
