Im not familiar with any on/off superchargers. Centrifrugal superchargers dont start to make boost till about 2200-2300rpms on a big boost kit or 2400-2600rpm on a low boost kit. Beyond those rpms the boost will come on progressively increasing with rpms (to a liimit) Crusing around town on city streets or highway I keep it just out of boost so an extra 25-125rwhp(old setup)is a slight push of the throttle away.
I have a Procharger, picked it cause it comes with an intercooler and has the lowest failure rate in the industry (Powerdyne worst). Online buddy had 8psi Paxton on his Indy, more motor mods than me and ran exactly 1/2 second slower on 1/4mile than mine with 7psi from the Procharger.(both on 12.5 et streets)

If ets mean littleyou can see how 0-60mph were affected. Iadded my truck 3 times (stock/mild 360na/blown) to the link below which lists times for mostpopular cars (including exotic supercars)from past and present.Went from middle of thepack to the top 10 of the list.

Vortechs/Paxton kitsare pretty good but dont included intercooler and fuel tuning is not as good with their fixed rate fmu.Other thing I dont like is the oiling system. Hot, dirty engine oil running threw a close tolerance hi rpmunit is not good for hp or the blowers lifespan.

I paid 5500shipped for my D-1SC with 3 core a/a ic. About another1000+ forextra trans cooler, deep alum trans pan w/temp gauge, digital a/f, fuel pressure, boost/vac, wideband o2 & igntion box.
You can get the P-1SC without polish and a 2core ic for about 800 less.Paxtons and Vortechs kits will give about 35-40% increase in rwhp, Procharger will give 55+% gains over what you have now.

Few links below forProcharger, Paxton and Vortechbut some require you contacting themfor price.

Keep it out of boost and it tends to get pretty good mpg, if you can keep your foot out of it. The more boost increases the more mpg goes down.

RM how does the procharger setup control the added required fuel when you get into your boost range? assuming bigger injectors and/or mods to the programing in the PCM?

im wondering this b/c a trubo has been looking like a fun homemade setup mod and ivestarted to look into it..and no one makes a aux. fuel system for boost minus the power adder itself (charger)

just curious if you have any thoughts on how to add the extra fuel in a custom setup of the one im toying with..

p.s. (this is just in theroy,,, still in the drawing stages)

basically b/c i have a rebuilt garret t-24 given to me b.c a former budy of mine owed me money,, and im bigger then him lol

At the time of install I had 24lb FMS injectors, they were needed for the NA motor. I also had the SMT6 from Perfect Power to tune my MP PCM. Had issues with the SMT6 so ended up disabling it. I couldnt run the MP PCM without pulling timing so removed it and put the stock computer in. Not the best for running the motor with the 24lb injectors, M1 & cambut it was much better than the issues I had with the smt6. Not sure if I had the smt6 wired correctly (they supplied 00 Dak schematics). When NA II did manage to tweak the tune on the MP PCM to get about another 10rwhp but minor issues got much worse when blown.

The Procharger kit supplies a Pro Flow inline fuel pumpwith check valve that was controlled by an Aeromotive Digital FMU. The Aeromotive fmu is much better than the fix rate fmu's that paxton vortech supply. It hasa variable rate from 2:1-14:1. Looks like a 5band eqwith main pot for master adjustment then the 5 sliders with an led above each.. Very easy totune as long as you have a wideband a/f gauge and a fuel pressure gauge. The fmu is boost referenced off the intake manifold. As the boost level increases with rpmsone by one each led above the sliders will light up indicating that is the slider to adjust fuel levels. With the recommended fuel settings on the fmu thatProcharger suggested I had asafe 11.5 a/f. Itweaked it down a bit so it was around 12.0:1when WOT from 1psi threw to 7.5psi.

Withoutan intercooler you would have to pull timing from a stock computer or MP PCM. I got the 2core upgraded to a 3core air to air intercooler.
