Warning about Ebay Intakes

I put the filter on today. Man what a headache. Now that I have done it, it wouldn't be that hard to do again though. I bought the Edelbrock air cleaner from Autozone (30.00), a 1/4 x 20 threaded rod from lowe's (it's in the specialty screws section)(.92), and a riser kit from AutoZone (9.99).You have to have the riser because the cleaner will hit a bolt beside where the brace for the stock intake is and it will not seal down. Haven't bought the K&N filter yet have to go back and get it. I boughta PCV breather but took it back because the Edelbrock has a place to put the breather tube (use a heat gun to make it go on easier).
Now I have to go find the zipties with the insert because I broke the ones off of the wiring loom trying to get everything to fit. Mostly because everything was trial and error and it was only 25 degrees out today. I haven't took it out yet because my wife and son came home just as I was finishing up and I had babysitting duties tonight.
There is another article on here about how to bend the screw correctly to fit.
When I started it up in the driveway, there seemed to be a bit of whistling noise, but that could be from the filter. I checked it over and couldn't find any areas of possible leaks around the base of the cleaner or riser.
The easiest way that I found to put it on was the riser, cleaner, filter on, then put the screw in. Then the top and wingnut.
If you have any questions about it, let me know and I will be happy to help.
