Default Transmission model for 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.9L V8 4x4

I have a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 5.9L V8 4x4 Sports Magnum.
The sticker written near the front of the radiator shows:

Code # Description
DGB Std Duty 4Spd Auto Trans

My manual shows:

Transmission Codes

* DGP = 4-speed Automatic (47RE)
* DGT = 4-speed Automatic (46RE)
* DGK = 4-speed Automatic (42RE)
* DDP = 5-speed Manual (NVG-4500)
* DDX = 5-speed Manual (NVG-4500 Heavy Duty)
* DDC = 5-speed Manual (NVG-3500)
* DEE = 6-speed Manual (NVG-5600)

However, I can't find DGB from the list.

I visited this link https://dodgeforum.com/m_576546/tm.htm and visited www.dodgeparts.com

I tried to type in only the 8 digits for my transmission part # P52119823AA but it could not find my transmission model. Again, I only entered the 8 digits and even tried to enter P52119823AA or P52119823 or 52119823AA but it came empty.

Is there a way I can find out for sure what is my transmission model?

i'd say it's probably the 46RE cause the 47's were on the 2500/3500's. that's just a guess and a hunch cause my 2001 is the 46RE. you could always crawl under the truck (or jack it up too) and look for a tag on it. most parts like that are either required to have a tag on it by the manufacturer with model number and gear ratios and stuff like that.

my 99 5.9 has both DGB written and just below it on the sticker it has DGT which crosses to a 46RE. I assume Mopar made a change to the lettering and they are letting us know by listing both in succession.

I called Dodge customer service and could not give me the answer. I was referred to call in 5 Dodge Dealerships. One dealership told me that my transmission is an M30 type. 4 Dealerships told me that it should be 46RE. I have already dropped the transmission pan and ready to adjust the rear band. The rear band adjustment screw is not a hex screw but square and none of my sockets would work. It seems that an 8mm open end wrench would work but there is no way to use the torque to hold the open end wrench. I was thinking of using a 8mm crow foot but I only have a 10mm crow foot. I was thinking of using a gator grip socket but it is too long. I'm too far away from any autoparts store. I wish I have known in advance that the rear band adjustment screw is not a hex type screw but instead it is a square. The service manual shows a hex type adjustment screw but mine is a square one. I need my vehicle tomorrow. I'll just adjust it next time and put back the pan back in and fill it with the ATF +4.[:@]

Yeah ... my build plate (stamped metal rivited to the radiator support) says DGB, too.

From what my best friend told me adjustment of the transmission band is a dealership service thing. He's the service manager at a Dodge dealership and he wouldn't jerk me around that's probably why you are having hades with that weird shaped screw.

Square drive is a "weird shape"? Don't think so. Service Managers also say that an oil change is a dealership service thing.

The square end is for the forward gear and it adjusts to 72in.lbs and back off 1 7/8 turns and rear is torque to 72 in lbs and back off 3 turns
this is for a 47re direct from the service manual
