advise--Truck stuck in forest
go by an easy locker and install it
i agree with socha, you gotta get it to pull out on an angle. as a last option if you cant get it to move because im guessing by what your saying is that the rear end is sliding towards the tree when you try to move. take out the rear drive shaft and lock the e-brake and then drive it like. the front end will "dig" this is a very common move rock crawler do when there stuck like you are. only difference is they have a atlas or twin stick trasfer case and can control where they want the power going to. also throw some plywood under it.

damnit.. i just typed this huge long story out on how i did this, and then i hit reload and lost it all! damnit...
but heres a pic of pretty much what i did, took me 5 hours to dig, my come along broke getting the toyota out, so i just started digging,
found a huge board stuck it in front of the passanger rear tire, and a few rocks under it. then dug under the driver side tires which alomst leveled the truck out, dug some ruts in front to get it back on the trail and threw some dirt down. said a prayer and went for it. sweet!

thanks guys for all the help... i was hoping to use that come along and get the rear pulled out. i also thought of burning the tree down and melting the snow if this didnt work. oh ya,, I AIRED DOWN... didnt have a gauge,, so i just winged it.. thanks again guys...
needless to say, next upgrade, winch and some sorta grill bar up front.

i believe that all you need is copious amounts of beer, a dash of redneck engineering, and a few buddies to hooot and hollar at ya for to keep your spirits aloft.
glad to see you are out!

I got stuck in an old riverbed in some deep mud on Christmas Eve a couple of years ago. 2 trucks with 4 chains couldn't even pull me out. But one of the guys worked for the city and he went an got the maintainer at 7:00 at night and got me right out. The guy said give me a 12 pack and we'll call it good. Gave him a 20 spot and went on my Merry way.
they would have if other people would have helped, but when i mentioned 5 trucks were stuck on this road, some reason they didnt want to drive down to help.[sm=smiley13.gif]
but i really need to look into getting a winch and brush guard/bull bar deal...where do you guys go to buy this sorta stuff?
