So I could just cruize into auto zone, or would I need to go to the dealer?

It would take some hard abuse before you broke a D44 with stock 31's with open diff.
They can handle 37's locked safely, and I know a guy running 40s on his locked and only broke the shaft once.

Ya, its partially apart now... SIMPLE!
Although, im having trouble getting the hub out of the steering knuckle, ive been hammering it for like 30 mins, im going for the crow bar next...
The other side should be easy considering its a new hub only installed about 3 months ago.
Any helpful hints or tips on getting it out?

I just did mine and had a hard time too until I took a torch and heated it up for about 20 minutes and then a few more whacks with the mallet and it came off. Thats the easy part, getting the factory ujoint out sucks.
