welcome to DF... I'd say go for it, there are alot of motorheads here for support...how many miles on it? and what does it need or what has been done to it?
I'd look for a 4wd but thats just me. I love having 4wd. Not sure I'd want another 2wd truck after owning this one unless it was something I built purely for racing.
I went for 4WD I had a 2WD 00 Dakota but you know that truck was a blast to drive finaly living in PA needed a 4WD but my moms boy friend has one and he said it's great sogo for.
