Articulation

I have a 2001 2500 QC CTD 4x4 and I would like to get a little more articulation. The only thing I've been told is to get different springs, but being a diesel it's kinda heavy and softer springs doesn't seem like the way to go. Is there a way to remove the sway bars or something similar to get more articulation?

I have a similar set up to you except for your 6" lift. I took it off but didn't like it for normal driving. So, I fabbed my own quick disconnect sway bar. A little cutting, welding and a $2 pin makes for a pretty good solution. I just pull the pin when I'm heading off road. The only downside is it's sometimes a pain to get holes lined up to put the pin back end. Truck has to be sitting on a hard level surface to stand a chance of getting them to line up.
Check out www.jksmfg.com quick disconnect sway bar. These are for Jeeps but should give you the idea. Mine looks pretty similar, just not painted fancy like theirs.

sway bar will give you more flex. thats the way to go. i took mine off and dont ever plan on putting it back on. there isnt a rear sway bar on my truck but i belive 98 and new has rear sway bars. .. not positive though. the sway bar will be a solid bar that hooks to both sides of the axle ( drivers and passengers sides) with a link in between the bar and the axle.
