Default New fuel pump still no fire!

Looking forsome help for the rookie. My 1998 Ram 360 bogged down and died the other day. I traced it to the fuel pump. It had no "whirling" sound when I turned the key to run. So I droped the tank and installed a new unit (after checking all the electrical) Well now I have "whirling" and fuel to the fuel rail but no fire. I had no other problems up to the fuel pump going out. Could I have done some damage to other parts (injectors) while trying to start the truck with a bad fuel pump?? Also I changed the plugs. Any ideas?? Thanksideas would help!!

first thing to check is every fuse and relay. go through the fuse box and look at them all, then check the secondary box under the hood. make sure all the relays are functionly properly.

Just because you changed the plugs doesn't mean your getting spark. Have you actually checked for spark yet? Thats the most simple and cheap problem and alot of people overlook it and spend money on stuff thats not broken.
