Default DOES ANY ONE HAVE A CLUE?

Well I have a 1994 Ram 1500 5.2 v8, well I was planning on going to get a lift kit but as i was leaving my house the truck would keep shutting off. It wasnt like a stall, it would just cut off power. I know if i lay on the gas pedal a little bit, it keeps it from turning off. Does any one have an idea whats going onn??? thanks for your help

The usual suspects ... IAC or TPS.

HMM forgive me for being a complete newbie, how difficult and time consuming would it be to replace these parts

It's easy. Clean your iac first. Take it off, clean the plunger, clean the passages, put it back on, and see what happens.
Look here:
https://dodgeforum.com/m_340929/tm.htm

It is the service manual. Download it, then look in the fuel system section. It shows the throttle body and where everything is.

Edit: some of the stuff in there will vary from your truck as it is a 2001 service manual, butwhat your are looking for should be the same

does anybody know if the tps would cause the throttle to stick open at about 2500-3000 rpms if it was malfunctioning?
