i know some of you guys have them, i was just wounderin where the best place is to mount them and where you put the antennas, i see some of you guys used whips and mounted them behind the rear window.... but i just got a cb and want to hook it up... 1998 ram 1500 ext-cab fully loaded if that matters

i got thatsame cb but it has a chip in it so it can echoe amd the meter light changes colors, its got like 200 into it, i thought about mountin it there but my truck has a folddown cupholder right there...

 

When I installed my Cobra 29 LTD NW in my '98, I mounted it to the T-case lever cover. I too have the drop down cupholders and figured it was the only way I could mount it without it being on the dash or hanging from the roof. I will try to get a pic when I can. Right now I have a Lil Wil magnetic mount antennea on the roof, but have a set of Firesticks to mount right behind the cab.

mine is located on the panel just left of the 4wheel shifter on the kick panel jst below the pcm port and I keep the mic in the drop down ashtray looking door next to the cup holders just above it. I have 2 ant on each side of the bed near the cab with brackets.
