the fire heats up the air inside the tire and expands it, which makes more pressure inside quickly, which sets the bead

Correct, I wouldn't really do this for fun or anything, its fun to watch but people can get hurt, and lots of them do. If you use to much it canc completely blow the tire off the rim, or the weights can shoot up off the rim ect.

It works when you need to and are on the trail and nothing else works, but only do it when your being as safe as you can.

ive done this a few times. it works well but theres a def. risk factor there. i do actaully carry around a can off starter fluid with me just for that reason. it can be a real life saver. but dont be a dumb ***. light it with your face away and run[8D]

me and the old man used to use acetaline and oxygen all the time and it worked good, the only bad part was if you didnt put air in it right away it would suck the bead right back off the rim
