Default Super Charger for 1995 Dodge Ram

I have a 1995 Dodge Ram 360 magnum 4x4. I want to get a supercharger for it. I am currently rebuilding the engine. Does any one know of a company that makes a supercharger for my truck?
Thanks, Mopar Dave 68

Many companies used to, however, the only one I can find for sure that still is, is ProCharger. The rest have moved on from our engines to the newer HEMIs.

I know the following companies used to make SCs for our engines, but not anymore...
Kenne Belle
Paxton Automotive
Powerdyne
Vortech

You may be able to find some of their "older" units that fit our engines, either used or left over "outdated" stock at a performance shop.

you can find used ones every now and then on ebay. *********.com also has a for sale section that you can check out regularly. the dakota guys over there have a tendency to use superchargers and know superchargers a lot better.

DF has stupid language filters. Like, you it blocks D*dge Talk (Spelled with a star so it wont filter), vurtually, and others. Our Admins are working on changing that.

Just place a star or put a space in it somewhere.

ProCharger makes superchargers for our trucks With a intercooler. All the other kits for our trucks do not come with a intercooler. And Kenne Bell does not make chargersvfor our trucks anymore.

I'm interested in this option as well but isnt one likely to cause our crappy 46re trannys to explode?
I was told yesterday beefing up the motor and drivetrain is not necessary but then I read some say you should? Thats a lot of pressure in the cylinders and I thought diesels were beefed up for that same reason...pressure? Or do I have it wrong?

I know you need a way to retard the timing and heavier 30lb injectors are strongly recommended andything else one needs to do to actually be able to use one reliably?

IF you dont want your motor to blow up with a supercharger, you are going to need to beef it up on the inside. RM-Indy needs to post on this.

Whatever choice you decide to make your going to have to get a piggy back system because
your running an OBD-I truck.

that what I suggested yesterday and twisted metal told me I read to many ads?
I know most of the guys I talk to who use real turbochargers beef up the motors but I have no real knowledge of superchargers except what they do which is basically pressurize your cylinders tenfold.

Auggie, that was meant for the OP of that thread not you. We were actually on the same page about that topic. The only kit I have seen is a Procharger kit, which is what Indy_RM runs IIRC. My contention is this, lots of companies and people will tell you that you can put a supercharger or a turbo, or nitrous on any engine with little or no modifications or build up. But think for a second here, most of us are dealing with engines in the 75k-100k plus mile range, with a notorious history or plenum leaks and bad heads. Do you really want to drop 500-1000 or more dollars on a power adder, just to have your tired engine come apart because it "bolted right on"? Me personally, if it was my money i'd be dammed sure that the engine was right, and had the proper parts in it before the huffer went on top. Its kind of no brainer, but I am old school in alot of ways. I still perscribe to "Built Once, Built Right".
