Default Truck got dirty (pics inside) and REALLY HOT today

I got a call from my brother in law that he was stuck in his aunt's field. I get there and his front end is basically buried to the head lights. We give the Beast a shot pulling him out but That wasn't happening. We tried with the little tractor his aunt has and that was a no go. We decided to try pulling it from the front with the tractor. Well he tried lifting the truck with the bucket and all kinda stuff and it wasn't budging. He eventually got the tractor stuck. He asks me if I think my truck can pull the tractor out. Of course I said "yeah no problem". Well I was wrong! It's so like swampy in the field my truck ended up getting stuck as well. It wasn't even in that deep. While trying to get my truck out I notice my trans temp guage it over 300. I honestly don't remember if it was 320 or 380 but that's what 2 numbers stick in my head. Either way it was high. We left and got some more of his chains and come-along. We hooked a chain and come-along to my hitch and to the tractor. We pulled my truck back till I was able to get traction and get out of the really bad stuff. By the time I was totally out of being stuck I noticed my check gauge light was on. I looked and my temp guage was about pegged. I let it cool for a while as I helped him try to get his truck out. We eventually gave up on his. Its still in the mud. Mine seemed fine on the ride home but I think my trans fluid is probably shot now. Sucks cause it was all new fluid.

Anyway here are a few pics. I'll leave a link to the album so you guys can see them all

There's a few. HERE IS THE LINK http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y18...hinegt/Muddin/

Awesome pics. I also am wondering about the tranny fluid. Is it still ok at 300?

I know silver has mentioned when it's a certain temp it should be changed. He has told me a couple times I think and I can't remember what it was. I think it was under that though. I'm hoping he post in here to let me know haha.

Link is in my first post to the rest of the pics now
