Default transmission

I have a 98 ram 1500 5.9 4x4 with a bad transmission. Will a 99 durango 5.9 4x4 transmission fit in it?

If it has a 46RE in it, it should physically bolt up, might be some wiring differences though. Not sure on that. Dodge did some strange things with wiring over the years...

+1... I wouldn't take the chance. Find one out of a Ram 98-99 only.

That's because they were both 2000 models.

I decided to try the Durango transmission because I got an excellent deal on it. It fit perfect, everything matched up, no changes were needed. The only physical difference was the splash shield. I used the Durango splash shield and everything fit perfectly. Thanks again!
