subwoofer enclosure 2005 dak quadcab
I actually put the Boss BASS600 powered sub behind the rear left hand seat, way on the bottom, against the rear cab wall. It sounds great, and gets the job done. Its really thin, has plenty of power, and adds nicely to the low end.
Its NOT a power hitter (not like the nasty Crunch/Kicker combo in my last truck), but it fills out the bottom end the way I wanted. Cheap too!!

Hey guys,
I'm new here and dragged up this thread. I was looking for some more thump in my QC and came up with a solution that is not ideal audio wise but meets every thing else.
I wanted to install a sub but did not want to see it. I also wasn't looking for killer lows. I listen to rock and the stock side speakers didn't cut it for everyday listening. I built a small custom wedge box to fit behind the drivers seat. You have to remove the seat to install it and creatively bolt the seat back in place. It fits an 8" sub just fine but choose a sub that needs the smallest enclosure possible, there is not much volume. I installed an amp under the seat bottom. You can't tell there is a sub at all unless you try lifting that seat side, you can't. But other than that I am happy. I hate wood work and this was pretty easy. Its all cut from a small 2'x4' piece of 3/4 thick marine ply or MDF. No need to make it pretty since you can't see it.
I modeled it in Solidworks and printed off a cut list, disregard the **** measurements, just round it. I had this posted on another low traffic forum but wanted to share here.
As I search I see lots of other solutions, but one thing about this, is its real cheap.

I have 2 12 inch kickers in the back of my club cab still in the original box they came in I'm trying build a smaller box for them so I can move the front seats back and forth but I have no clue on what kind of dimensions to do
I bought this little bad boy.

Mounted it be hind the passenger side back seat. I had to take out the middle seat buckle but I never have anyone sit back there any way, so no loss. For a 10" it hit pretty well.

one of the guys on here "gutted" the underside of his rear seat (kept foam but removed springs and backed it with Diamond plate for strength) then mounted his Amp .. same thing could be done to give more room under the rear seats to it a custom enclosure for a shallow sub ... seats would still lift could still be sat in just not as comfortable
