91 is available in a few places. Im guessing they do 91 because if they tuned all their performance tunes to 93 then the people who could only get 91 wouldnt be able to use the tuner.
They do make 93 performance tunes as well, however it is not available for the 4.7 Dak and nothing is in the works.
Honestly I did not notice much difference between 87 and 91 tune. The cost difference is modest between the two grades but I hava a hard time paying over $3 a gallon...(even though 87 is like $2.90, it's still under $3 lol). Have you got a case of leadfoot-itis yet? (Side effect of the sc tuner).
I absolutely agree, the 87 and 91 tunes are so similar that it is not worth the money to put in 93 octane fuel. And I have a station where I can get 91 octane, but it's still not much better that the 87 tune anyway.
I forgot to mention, they are also making a racing tune .... however, it will be limited to Diesel and Hemis for Dodge owners. They Race tune was released for the Powerstroke, and the Cummings was supposed to be out sometime around Christmas. Gas engine race tuning is soon to follow.
