I love my MBRP cat back. I went with the custom bent first, honestly if you want piping that's going to last any decent length of time it will cost you as much or more than a kit. Mine rusted out and I ended up going with the MBRP, it's mandrel bent (now you're talking serious money for a custom setup if you're doing mandrel bends) and it sounds killer.

Eimer likes something a little more obnoxious I think. He thought my MBRP was too quiet at idle. I say just run some straight pipes out the back!

A straight piped 4.7 is loud and sounds bad *** trust me. I say ditch the magnaflow and straight pipe it a muffler shop can do it for only like $50.

I was thinking about making a straight pipe section for my muffler on the nights that I just want to go make some noise. But the clamps ended up getting corroded under there and they are a pain to get off so it wouldnt be worth 2 hours of work to put a straight section on, just to have to take it off again to avoid the police. Lol.

Good news is the 4.7l is an excellent sounding motor no matter what is on it for the most part; some would say even better than the Hemi. And most Ram guys would agree.

Haha! If I had headers, I would definetly do cutouts and run them straight out the tops of the fenders!

Do shops give any kind of warranty on a custom made exhaust? Also you will have to deal with aluminized tubing instead of stainless which is prone to rusting out after only a couple years. Magnaflow stands behind every single piece of there product and would be happy to replace something 10 years down the road on the kit if it broke.

The shop will give a typical 90 day warranty, and of something stupid as a hanger weld breaks after that he will fix it.

I think I have decided to just go with the Magnaflow system, found the dual system for $452 free shipping, gonna keep searching on price.

Has anyone found a y-pipe replacement yet? I still cannot find one. I guess I should be more specific.. do they make a manifold to end of Y replacement? Or should I just look at replacing a small section of the Y only
