Nice car! always been a fan of those myself.
As for the pulling... did you have the weight stabalizers? Do you have any suspension mods done? 5k lbs eh?
Reason I ask is cuz i'm buying my parents 27' camper trailer....it SAYS that it's 5500lbs FULL weight, and 3360 dry. It's an ultralight.
Just in case, I have 1500lb helpers on the rear (gosh, it's like the performance springs i put on my mustang back in the day) and I will probably have an exhaust fabbed up for the extra pull power. At least that's what i tell my wife....

Wow nice find gotta love the dsm's. These trucks can pull more than people think but they do suck some gas doing it i pulled a cavalier 200 miles (100 there 100 back) and it more than killed my wallet.

trailer was 1600lbs. (according to uhaul) car is around 3200, but add in a full tank of gas and an extra block, and I am sure it was over 5k.
Only mods done are sc tune, e-fan, TB, lower stat and exhaust... towing package, if that means anything.
nothing to the suspension at this moment. in the summer, it has a rear leveling kit on it.
Already ordered the first round of mods. Excedy Clutch, new control arms for both sides, electronic boost controller, and a few goodies from RRE for the exhaust.
cant wait for spring to melt this snow... lol

I figure blown would be interested in a progress update with the car... since he posted it on my facebook... lol I guess I can just post it here, so everyone gets to see it.
so far, all thats been done is some general maint. stuff. I changed all the fluids. Mobil 1 full syn oil, 75-85 Amsoil MTG, also did a coolant flush.
I got a killer deal on an ACT 2600 clutch kit, and an ACT lightweight flywheel.
the list of "stuff" thats been ordered, or will be ordered for this season.
Injen hard intake kit. (2G maf and adapter for filter)
ACT 2600 clutch kit/flywheel
3 Inch Downpipe
3 inch Cat-back
3 inch High-flow cat
AEM wideband
Autometer Cobalt Boost and EGT gauges
I already have an Aeromotive FPR, and 550CC injectors... so I should be good to run 14 psi on the current turbo. I will wait till next season to set up either the 20g or HX35. I would also like to get DSMlink setup for the 2012 season.
so there, thats the "plan" so far blown.

Well, a few factors have forced that project on a back burner.
The wife has the final say on any of my "projects." She wasnt thrilled about the dak project.
The issues that current boosted daks are having, also factors into the decision.
The eclipse was actually found by the wifey. when she gives the go-ahead on a car like this one, I cant really turn that down. as it sits, this car should run 14's after I am done with the build for this year, it should hopefully be a low 13 car.
