I am a facilities manager for a large US company. But I come from a small town and prefer to work on my truck myself. The reward is better (and cheaper when you do it yourself.

And I grew up with a Contractor, Auto Body Tech and diesel Tech in the family on the farm, learned almost everything there is to know about mechanical what-ch-ma-call-its

I'm an Electrical Engineering Tech and do testing on things called Variable Frequency Drives.

Here's what they are:

The ones I work on are the largest you can buy with some of them costing upwards of $2 million. To put the word large into perspective the largest ones we do are over 35,000 Horsepower and approach lengths of 70 feet and have input voltages of over 35,000 volts. I'm currently working on the largest one ever produced which is slighly over 36,000HP.

JD is one of our main customers (locomotive mechanic for a railroad) up here in waterloo/cedarfalls we haul aloooot of tractors
