Do you get it though the updater or is there a place to purchase and download it?

The most noticable improvement is the transmission shifting improvement in either superchip or user setting over stock. really noticable improvement, and the improved power is well worth the price of the tuner.. superchips really great tuner.. I have superchip cortex with advanced trans. tune and flow master dual exaughst with drop in K&N filter tuner set on 93 octane tm set at 10 across the board w/o 1st to 2nd set at 6000 rpm 2nd to 3rd set at 6000 rpm rev limiter set at 6400 rpm .govenor set at 140 mph .was useing superchip setting on shiftpoints up and down shifts ,but have since been useing user settings and hav been adjusting shift points up and down myself to find my best setting for performance and daily driving. superchip settings are really a improvement over stock but with the advanced trans. tune you can personalize your dakota to your own settings and preferance. 08 dakota 4.7 flex fuel quad cab is what I drive..

Welcome to DF! Yes, you are correct. There are a couple of custom trans shift schedules in the sticky section. I love my custom schedule. I have all my tm set to zero. Where my shift points are at now makes my truck a real head turning screamer!

How's that feel with the sonnax and the trans tune? does it feel like a shift kit?

only at WOT. Normal driving is not affected, thats why I want to get the shift kit. I want hard shifts all the time, not just when I'm blowing the doors off a ricer...lol

Agreed, of all the trucks I've driven this is the softest shifting one. Had an 85 Blazer that had a shift kit, my Ranger had a reman tranny that shifted hard as a rock, and even my Kia shifts tighter than this.
